Sad news

This has my mom crying like crazy. Our friend, Booker, will be put to sleep tomorrow. You can read about his problem with food that makes him a danger to humans. His h-mom has tried so hard with him but he cannot be trusted. We are crying for them and for him. This is an agonizing decision--the type my mom has had to make a few times, too.

Another friend, Dozer, had to have major surgery this week for a torn knee and will be recovering for quite a while. Please send them prayers & hugs.

What a diffikhult choice/decision but given how hard they've tried, the khorrekht one -

The next time might have ended with much more injury - or worse -

We'll be thinking of them -

Mom is leaking fur she knows how hard it will be but it does have to be done -

I know that the decision was not made lightly but it is the best decision for all involved including Booker. Sometimes there are things that cannot be addressed.

Paws crossed for Dozer.

Booker's story is heartbreaking. Humans don't realize how deepy their cruelty can effect us canines. But not every dog gets to know love like Booker has, and so his story isn't a lost one. I guess you can say that he is one of the lucky ones - to have humans that care for him so deeply. I know us pups never take that for granted.

Well, I came over to congratulate Daisey on being so "tiny". But I see there are more important things going on. I will go visit Booker and Dozer. Sorry you're sad.

We read about Booker earlier and it broke our hearts. Such a tragic end to a dog that was so well loved and cared for in his retirement. But they did the right thing.
