Storm Pictures

This is our drive way. You can see the electric pole leaning and the big tree that hit it. It snapped the wires apart. The electric fixers said they just had to heat the wires and splice them. So we're back up and on the net this afternoon!

This is looking back toward the house.

Here comes the electric cavalry.

We're watching and barking at them to let them know we're here and we want our blog back!!

They had a neat little chainsaw that sounded like a big bee. It did all the work.

Buuuuutttt...look at this mess!! My mom tried to get home and she couldn't. She had to park and walk (not her favorite thing to do). She is going to call the electric company tomorrow to complain! They could at least move the branches they cut down.

Well, at least you have your power back. I am hoping that the electric guys left in a hurry so they could help somebody else. Maybe they will send their friends from the DPW to clean up the bad branch later.

Good to see all your faces safe and sound.

Lucky you didn't have to wait forever for the electricity people to come. That could have been a real pain in the butt lol.

The Army of Four said...

Thank goodness it didn't fall on your house! We're thankful you're OK!

I agree with Mango, perhaps they had 50 or more other people to care for and they will send the tree eater around to each place where they work.

I hope so.

We are so happy that you are all safe and that the electricity has been restored. It is NO FUN to be without power.

Gosh, we would be upset about the mess they made blocking the drive. We can understand your Mom not wanting to leave her car and walk. We hopes they get it cleaned up SOON. ~S,S,C & F

Hi River! I hope that tree is removed soon. I'm sure glad no trees fell on you or your house!

See ya!

Heat the wires and splice them? So that's how they do it! The next time we lose power I'll just head out there with a blowtorch and some crimpers and we'll be all set ...

I kid! I kid! I don't even have crimpers.

What nerve. You all should have done a bit more than bark at them. Perhaps leave a little pee-mail..

Please help!
Axl, Autumn's little brother has accidently bumped his head and has been very sick after that: vomit, seizure, hasn't eaten for a week, please, I'm begging you to visit Autumn's blog to support her and sending positive power to help for a good recovery!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Were you scared during the storm? Storms don't scare me but my brother Ziggy shakes like a leaf!

We are still playing catchup on blogs. We didn't know about your storms. Hopefully no one was hurt. Tell you mom to go get 'em - they should do a better job than that.
