Summer thought it was in this hole. She is such a big dumb spotted hound.

Then my best friend Scooby had to look. Well, he's not usually so dumb.

The rest of us were howling at the fence. Something had come through our yard overnight! What was it?

Can you see them?
It was a herd of cows! In our woods.
My mom has only seen cows in fields. (she's a former big city girl so cows are exciting to her, too). They knocked down our fence (our mom quick pulled it up before we could escape) and they pooped in our yard! We don't know who they belong to but it was so exciting!! That's what it's like to live in the woods in Georgia!

Something Wicked this way came

Summer smells it this way.
She smells it that way.
Baby smells it.
Davoo smells it. I smell it! What do you think it is?
Bitey, stop sniffing my butt!
to be continued...

River and the robe

This is my mom's robe.
When she is at work I take it out of the bedroom and carry it into the living room. Sometimes I take the pillow, sometimes socks. Then I can have her near me while I watch out the window.

I wish I could go to work with her.

The Hour after Work

This is what happens in the hour after my mom comes home from work.
First, Summer gets the bag of flour off the counter while my mom is getting the rest of the groceries from the car. Mom shrieks then grabs the camera, oh, well. We all get to eat the flour.

Next, Mousse steals the special surprise meant for ME!

Then Bitey steals it from Mousse and is looking at me in a mean way.
Hootie is ready for bed. He's old.
Old Bailey is howling at the food can like nobody ever feeds him. Bailey howls on and on and ON until somebody gives him an extra snack. It works.

Okay, finally Mom retrieves the stuffie and I get to have my special surprise.
{Mom note: it really was meant to be a universal stuffie lol}

HothothotHOT Saturday

It's 100 degrees in the shade. It's so hot tennis balls are melting. Here I am in the yard thinking it's too hot to move and besides it's boring. See Georgia pee behind me. (left)

See Peri pee. Ho hum. Bitey is next in line.

Then Petey sees something. He says, come look at this!
It's exciting. We both try to bite it.

Mom leans down and says, No, River, no!!
I keep biting at it.

It's a bumblebee! It flew away before I could catch it.

Practice for the Paw-limpics

River readies himself for the broadjump.
Focus, River!
Gather your muscles and jump!

And he sticks it! The crowd goes wild!

A hot Wednesday

Oh, Georgia, let's touch noses!

Oops, missed!

"Scritch, scratch, scritch, scratch
Scratch my chest
Wiggle, wiggle, wag, wag
River, you're the best!"

Let's do that again!

Rain, rain go away!

This is our front yard at NOON today. It's dark and raining and I don't want to go out at all! My mom says it's a good day for a nap.

This is the backyard. So much rain. The weeds grow too fast. I hate to get my feet wet.

It's a very good day for a nap.
