We're okay

We are doing okay. The pain is bad but Sasha would not want us to stop living. We will always remember her sweet spirit. And every single message from our DWB friends has helped ease the pain a little more. Thank you from our hearts. There is no other group of furiends so compassionate and caring. I am snuggling with my mom, keeping her heart-side warm.

Part of going on is, naturally, taking care of us. We have to eat and go out and play some. Then my mom had to pick up Tabitha from the rescue so she could foster her a little bit longer--to ease the burden on the rescue. Tabitha goes to her furever home on Friday. Hurray! Home for Christmas!!

Meanwhile, Tabitha had made a new best friend at the rescue and they asked if my mom would take him too. She said, of course. So we have a new baby named Ernie to love.
He's about 5 lbs, looks like part Joe Stains and maybe an Italian grey hound. He is so gentle and cuddly and tiny. My mom has him in the crook of her elbow as she types.

My furiend, Tatum Tot, has a new furkid they are fostering...her name is SASHA. Isn't life amazing sometimes?

River, We are glad you are doing OK. We have been thinking about you and your Mom.

We are so happy Tabitha has a forever home for the Holidays. That is so nice and her new pal Ernie looks as if he will keep you and your Mom busy. He is adorable.

The beans have been digging holes in our yard and putting post in them. We have our paws crossed that, that means a fence, which means we can rescue a doggie. Wouldn't that be a great Christmas present? We do hope we are right.

What an adorable duo! They look kind of beagle-ish, right? Maybe? Okay, no... but maybe you can teach them the beagle howl?

Hi River; It made me sad to come by your blog and see that Sasha has gone to the rainbow bridge. It was good news to read that you have a new furkid to look after though. Take care. XOXO Peanut

Hi, River. It's good to hear that you all are managing, and that you are keeping good care of your Mom. Sasha would want you all to do exactly as you are doing, she picked her time to go and she wouldn't want you all to be too sad. It's really pawsome that your Mom brought Tabitha and Ernie home. Yay for furever homes! And at least Ernie won't have to be in the shelter for Christmas. Please give your Mom cuddles and hugs from us.

Love and brown dog kisses,
Dannan and The Girl

We're glad you're hanging in there. Mom still has a hard time when she thinks about Zennie-bug. Thankfully she's busy with the rest of us to help her heart heal a bit each day.

Your foster pup is adorable!!
