Labor Day

We didn't do much today. My mom worked on her telecommuter job and watched movies.
Here I am visiting with Natalie. She is a sweet girl. We're just friends, I promise! ....No, we're, uh, NOT holding paws here.

My mom apologizes for the hideous blurriness but it's the first & only picture of me meeting the puppies. I think she will get a new camera for Christmas.

Here is the little marshmallow girl. She's just opening her eyes. She makes a LOT of squeaky noises that you can hear at the other end of the house!

Here is the little boy. He's a mellow, sleepy boy. They are just starting to walk.

Pee-Ess--for Jan's Funny Farm--my mom offered to foster these puppies a month ago (before they were born) so the rescue wouldn't have them taken (as in killed) when the mom was spayed--it was a problem, a hideous debate among the rescuers because no one could take the puppies--then they finally called my mom one HOUR before the spay operation (she is the place of last resort). She could not stand the idea of them being killed when they were almost ready to come out so she said yes! Then my MOM had to have an operation so she couldn't take them when she promised--not until this weekend.

They don't have names. We need to think of some. Help!!

It'll be a shame if such lovely pupppies were deprived to live.

Your mum did a wonderful job, despite having to cope with her health problems. She sure deserves to be commended for saving and caring for the puppies.

your mom is such a good person, taking care of the little puppies. you are lucky to have such a sensitive mom, we think every dog in the world should have someone like her to look after them.

by the way, xsara does bark all the way trough agility course, i don't know how she even hears my voice cues being as loud as she is. but you're right, it's very beagle-like of her :)

Hi, River,

Thanks for the explanation. We're so glad your mom was able to rescue the puppies. Why not name the one Marshmallow? It seems to suit her. And the other Graham? As in graham cracker?

Stop by when you can. We gave you an award.

HI River,
Well it must be very busy at your place now - but how great that your mum could rescue those cute little puppies. Will you guys keep them or will they go to new homes when they are old enough?
